The Connecticut Health & Educational Facilities Authority (“CHEFA”) is a self-supporting quasi-public entity established in 1965. It provides access to tax-exempt financing, grants and other financial assistance to educational institutions, healthcare providers, and other eligible non-profits. Through its subsidiary, CHESLA, it provides low cost student loans, refinance loans, and scholarships to Connecticut students and residents.
